Pharmaceutical, Food and Biotechnology

Semiconductor and Ultrapure Water Processing

Edlon designs and manufactures equipment for processing, transporting, and storing ultra-pure chemicals, as well as equipment to reduce the risk of contamination inside clean room silicon wafer processing fabs. Its fluoropolymer solutions include the Guardian^TM line of linings, coatings and custom-designed solid components for superior purity and performance in every aspect of ultra-pure chemical handling and processing. Guardian products provide superior chemical corrosion resistance, while eliminating product contamination for maximum product yields. Their smooth surface finishes and proprietary fusion welding technology reduces metal ion contamination, particulate shedding and extractables.

Pulp and Paper

Turn to Edlon for roll covers and coatings that solve many of the traditional problems associated with paper production. They help you save time and money by eliminating roll picking, sticky build-up, corrosion, and frequent production interruptions for cleaning and maintenance.

Edlon heat-shrinkable Teflon^® roll covers are made of a unique Teflon^® fluoropolymer resin that offers a superior high-release, non-picking surface that resists sticking and protects against rusting, pitting and corrosion. On Machine Seaming (OMS) technology from Edlon makes it possible to install a heat-shrinkable cover on a dryer without removing the roll from the paper machine. The entire installation process can be completed during normal scheduled maintenance periods, thus eliminating unnecessary production delays.

For rubber and metal rolls that withstand continual mechanical and thermal shock at temperatures up to 350°F, Edlon developed its proprietary D95 Bonding System. This revolutionary adhesive formula is engineered to produce a superior bond between Edlon roll covers and internally-heated, high-temperature drying rolls such as paper dryers, non-woven heated cans and textile finishing and slasher cans. It also has application with non-internally heated rolls that need supplemental protection against mechanical abuse and heat cycling.

The spray-applied Roll-Coat 2000 roll coating offers paper roll protection and guaranteed release performance. It is a patent-pending formulation featuring outstanding release properties, exceptional adhesion to metal substrates, and superior resistance to abrasion. Designed to eliminate the problems of sticking, picking, build-up, and corrosion, Roll-Coat 2000 provides long-lasting release, toughness, and damage resistance. It also eliminates frequent downtime due to excessive roll maintenance resulting in increased production efficiency, higher quality paper, and substantial savings in time and money. Application is easy and does not require machine disassembly.
