Custom Loose Linings
Edlon offers custom loose linings fabricated from Teflon® PTFE, FEP, and PFA in thicknesses ranging from 60 to 180 mils. They provide unsurpassed resistance to corrosion and permeation even in severe chemical environments at temperatures up to 400F. Additionally, their smooth interior surfaces provide excellent release properties for reduced material build-up. Liners can be vacuum formed to accomodate dished vessel heads and more complex shapes. Edlon's custom loose liners are inert to most chemicals, except for molten alkali metals and certain halogens or halogenated compounds at elevated temperatures. Our loose linings are successful in a wide range of chemical services including, caustics, acids, and organics. Edlon's loose linings are field-repairable; our trained technicians can make on-site repairs or provide field repair training. Advantages of a loose liner:
To accomodate services that will involve agitation or vacuum, Edlon offers vacuum cage assemblies and plastic-encapsulated steel rings to secure a loose liner in place.
